01What is a Section 19 permit?+
A Section 19 permit allows eligible non-commercial organisations—including schools, community groups and care providers—to carry passengers for hire or reward without holding a full PSV operator’s licence, subject to the relevant rules.
02Do I need a special licence to drive a minibus?+
Licence requirements depend on the number of seats, vehicle weight, when your licence was issued and how the vehicle is used. We recommend checking the current DVLA guidance for your circumstances.
03Can Automotivate supply wheelchair-accessible minibuses?+
Yes. Through Trek-Minibus we can supply wheelchair-accessible conversions with suitable ramps or lifts, restraints, configurable seating and other accessibility equipment.
04What seating configurations are available?+
We supply 8–9, 10–15 and 16–17 seat configurations. Seating layouts, upholstery, accessibility features and equipment can be tailored to the intended operation.
05How long does a bespoke minibus take?+
Build times depend on the base vehicle, specification and production schedule. Standard vehicles from available stock may be quicker; we will confirm current availability before you commit.
06Can the vehicle and conversion be funded together?+
In many cases, yes. Eligibility depends on the vehicle, conversion, selected product, funder and your organisation’s circumstances.
